Who didn't want these sets as a kid? Who
didn't make a lego X-Wing or Millenium Falcon out of pieces from their other
sets.... well, actually, I didn't... but I did try to make Airwolf.
And then there was this one yellow space man that I taped a Castle Series sword
to it's back, that might have been to copy Luke (or maybe He-Man)?!? Well,
anyway, my point is that these sets are a dream come true.
The other great thing about them is that they're
fun. I mean, can you really "play" with a moc vintage figure? Not
really. But with these sets you can. I'm not saying I'm reenacting
mock battles of the Empire invading Hoth, I just mean that building them alone
is a joy, and really takes me back. They're not overly expensive, they're
not hard to find, and they display great.
I also have most (at one time all) of the prequel
sets in my collection. But because of space constraints and lack of
interest, I'm selling those off, so they didn't make the pic. I guess poor
Darth Maul on the bottom left will be the only one spared since he came in a
3-pack with two other OT figures.
